Originally formed in 1967 as a partnership under the name of Somerset Walsh, the company has evolved over the subsequent years and more recently became incorporated as Somerset Structural Limited in 2008.

We provide a variety of services to the construction industry, ranging from structural and civil design to temporary works, project management and site supervision. We can also provide a design-and-build service for steel structures in association with a number of steelwork fabricators with whom we have developed a close relationship over many years.

Design work is carried out personally by the Directors, who are both Chartered Engineers with over 40 years' experience covering a wide variety of schemes, supplemented as necessary by a number of associated engineers and technicians. Drawings are also prepared in-house, and using a partner drawing office for larger schemes.
